The assessment of culture, as well as the assessment and interventions that support spirituality, is essential in providing excellent palliative care to children and their families. In this course, you will learn that culturally competent care includes recognition of multiple factors (e.g., ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, social class, etc.). An interdisciplinary team approach is critical to ensuring cultural competence.
