Course overview

Ethical issues and dilemmas are inherent in care provided to children and their families in palliative care. It is important that healthcare professionals are aware of and have access to a wide variety of professional codes and standards that serve to facilitate resolution of ethical dilemmas. In this course, you will learn about some of the common ethical issues encountered in pediatric palliative care and ways to address these issues. The goal of this course is to provide nurses in hospice and palliative care with knowledge of ethical and legal issues in pediatric palliative care.
