Course overview
Behavioral concerns in dog patients occur on a regular basis in the veterinary clinic. Many dogs present as fearful in the clinic and that fear may trigger aggressive behavior during veterinary exams. There is a push in recent years for veterinary professions to learn more about the emotional component to behavior and to consider the emotional wellbeing of their patients through safe, humane handling practices that reduce fear and improve the dog's behavioral response to veterinary exams.
