Course overview

May be taken as the first course in the MAPS series. An evidence-based introduction to the Maitland-Australian approach to orthopedic manual therapy (OMT), focusing on effective assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the Spine. Regions extensively covered include: Cervical, Thoracic (including rib articulations) and Lumbar spine. Neurodynamic assessments and treatment of the upper and lower limbs is included and integrated with the associated spinal regions. The hard-bound course manual includes detailed step-by-step instructions for each technique and more than 270 photographs. Over 900 references are provided. The course includes 21 CEH hours of live interactive instruction; required Home Study of approximately 22 CEH hours, including 7.5 CEH hours of online lecture; resulting in a total of 43 CEH hours which is 4.3 CEUs (based on 1 CEH hour = 50 minutes and CEU conversion of 1 CEU = 10 CEH hours). MUST BE TAKEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH MT-2-Full Course (Home Study), which is free for all MT-2-Full Course (Live) participants.
