Course overview

Neuroplasticity is the ability of the brain to form and reorganize neural connections in response to learning. By understanding the principles of neurophysiology, therapy professionals can help a patient master a skill and achieve their therapy goals. This module will review the physiologic process of neuroplasticity in healthy individuals and identify key components therapists can leverage when designing interventions. It will also discuss self-management strategies to maximize outcomes.
