Within the past few decades, technological advancements have demonstrated a significant influence in a broad range of contexts, including the therapeutic setting. Speech-language pathologists have been inundated with a myriad of technological choices to incorporate into their daily routines with young clients. However, there has been a lack of professional guidance in identifying technological applications that fall within the guidelines of developmentally appropriate practices, thus leaving SLPs at a disadvantage as they attempt to navigate the challenges of providing fun, meaningful, and engaging online activities for clients that are considered within the scope of best practices. The purpose of this presentation will be to deliver research-based information about technological tools that will assist students with speech and language disorders.
