This course is designed to help rehab professionals understand the unique movement needs for the sport of cheerleading. As the sport has progressed, so have the injuries. Cheerleading is the definition of a team sport. One injury can change an entire cheer routine, and can create significant psychological concerns for the cheerleader. Knowing the right terminology and how each skill is expected to be done will help to gain trust with our clients and provide a framework to develop injury prevention programs. You will learn a movement screen specific to cheer needs and be able to develop a treatment plan to promote a healthy return to cheer. Finally, we'll discuss a strength and conditioning routine that will help promote injury reduction as well as skill enhancement and a healthy lifestyle.
