In this course the metabolism of potassium will be presented as it relates to heart function. In addition information will be presented that demonstrates certain environmental stressors that relate to diet and psychological stress can significantly alter potassium metabolism and thereby increase the risk of adverse cardiac events in certain susceptible individuals.
