Describe the role each trace element discussed play in the growth and development of a pediatric patient. 2. Evaluate a patient with toxicity of one or more trace elements including signs, symptoms, and laboratory assessment recommendations. 3. Evaluate a patient for trace element(s) deficiency including signs, symptoms, and laboratory assessment recommendations. 4. Create a plan to correct the deficiency and/or toxicity of trace elements in a patient case. NOTE: An annual subscription for Purdue's nutrition support pharmacy re-certification program provides access to both the continuing education component of the program and the "Professional Resources" for practitioners. Subscriptions to the continuing educational offerings, which have been accredited through ACPE and BPS, can be purchased for an annual fee of $195 for pharmacists.
