This course is also available as part of a larger 10.5 hour program. This 2-hour course contains modules 9 and 10. As we progress through module 9, think about these key questions: How does the continuum of supervision fit into different settings? What are common supervisory principles and patterns found across different settings? What should the long-term supervision goal be in each setting? Which types of interpersonal communication are most effective in each setting? Most clinicians will be applying material from this course series to one specific setting. Even so, remember to consider the big picture and think critically about how we might incorporate practices and recommendations from each setting into our own. There are plenty of takeaways that apply to the field as a whole, and ideally, one principle or recommendation from a particular setting will bring about inspiration and positive change to your setting or supervisory practice. Module 10, through the presentation of various case studies, will include opportunities for practical application of concepts and principles of supervision from this course series.
