Recognize patients at-risk for the refeeding syndrome as defined by the ASPEN guidelines 3. Describe the key elements of the pathophysiology of refeeding syndrome to guide avoidance and treatment 4. Identify patients at-risk and develop a plan to avoid refeeding syndrome 5. Develop a plan for treatment in a patient with refeeding syndrome NOTE: An annual subscription for Purdue's nutrition support pharmacy re-certification program provides access to both the continuing education component of the program and the "Professional Resources" for practitioners. Subscriptions to the continuing educational offerings, which have been accredited through ACPE and BPS, can be purchased for an annual fee of $195 for pharmacists.
