Course overview

This 2-hour course contains modules 3 and 4. Module 3 discusses different approaches to developing effective communication skills between supervisor and supervisee to foster a successful working relationship. In Module 4, those concepts to the process of giving feedback to and leading conferences with supervisees are applied. Also discussed are what factors contribute to effective conferencing techniques, and what skills supervisors should develop for best feedback strategies. Because these skills are directly applicable to situations in the supervisory process, there will be a focus on relating them to real-life examples. Also covered are what planning tools to utilize that can help supervisors prepare for and carry out effective conferences with their supervisees.
