Reading And Writing Expository Text: Project Based Intervention

Course overview

This course presents strategies to teach students for comprehending and expressing expository text. Components grounded in evidence-based practice are incorporated into project-based interventions designed to enhance the experiential knowledge of students in grades 4 through 12. This program, which uses students' curricula, provides an intervention designed to help students comprehend and express themselves using exposition while participating in unique, creative, and motivating experiences that they will, upon completion, share with significant others. Specific procedures for four projects will be shared. Pre and post assessments and project forms will be provided. This program has excellent potential for use with whole-classrooms as well as small groups and individuals.
