Course overview

This online course will highlight the research findings on key social communicative, sensory, and play behaviors shown to be symptomatic of ASD diagnosis. Video examples of infants and toddlers with ASD will be used to illustrate what these behaviors look like in young children. Particular emphasis will be on (1) early behaviors indicative of an ASD diagnosis, (2) early screening and assessment tools and the practical issues that surround their use, and (3) working closely with families and other professionals in early identification and screening.
