To aid speakers who stutter, this course presents specific strategies to: Enhance fluency and change moments of stuttering so that these moments are less disruptive to communication. Minimize negative affective, behavioral, and cognitive reactions to stuttering. Educate parents, teachers, peers and others about stuttering in order to reduce negative reactions by others. Minimize the adverse impact of stuttering on speakers' overall quality of life. Several treatment activities and techniques are presented throughout the course so clinicians will feel more comfortable and confident in their abilities to help those who stutter. This course covers all ages from school-age to adolescent to adults.
