Course overview

In this class, designed by and for massage therapists, we will discuss the mandatory license renewal subject of Ethics in the massage profession. We will discuss ethics as personal guidance system, list the various areas where ethical concerns present during the practice of massage therapy in the 21st century, and discuss strategies to prevent ethical missteps and operate a massage therapy practice with integrity Content Matter includes: Personal Ethics, Scope of practice, Informed consent, Money, Personal Boundaries, Professional Boundaries, Emotional Boundaries, Right of Refusal, Confidentiality, Unlicensed activity, Transference/countertransference, and more.
