Course overview
Access to appropriate nutrition is critical for any patient to achieve optimal outcomes. This module describes the changes in nutritional needs that occur with aging and current nutrition guidelines for these high-risk populations. Learners will gain an understanding of the nutritional requirements necessary to promote health and wellness across the continuum of care, how to screen for malnutrition and connect patients to appropriate resources, and how to educate patients and caregivers on the important role nutrition plays in healing.
