Controlled Substances: Prescribing Practices and Safety
Tracking # 20-801582
Course overview
Despite regulations and policies that have been implemented to control and manage the use of controlled substances, injury and death from drug overdose has reached epidemic proportions. Clinicians must continue to educate themselves and their patients regarding pain management and treatment options, the risk and prevalence of a substance use disorder, the treatment guidelines for use of controlled substances, and methods to prevent prescription drug misuse.
