HIV and AIDS for FL Healthcare Professionals

Course overview
Although the U.S. HIV epidemic has changed dramatically due to advances in testing and treatments, HIV still affects a significant number of people each year. Certain areas of the country have high numbers of new infections, including Florida. In addition, people living longer with HIV due to advances in treatments have a greater risk of chronic conditions. You should know how HIV is transmitted and treated, prevention strategies, and Florida laws about testing and reporting. The goal of this course is to provide all licensed healthcare professionals in Florida with knowledge of HIV and AIDS, managing the epidemic, and related Florida legislation.
