Course overview

This program has made the assumption that the person with diabetes has trialed lifestyle modifications but still demonstrates elevated lab work as it relates to diabetes. The AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) publishes medical approaches of treatment to various types of age groups, types of diabetes, high risk groups, hospital vs home management to name a few. This program presents the medications used in the treatment of non-pregnant, adult people with T2D (Type 2 diabetes). Insulin therapies are then described which would apply to either people with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. The medications described throughout the module are those that are FDA-approved as of the publication of this course.
