Tactical Operations Series: Opioid Overdose (Narcan Administration) - Instructor

Course overview

This program-of-instruction will support and equip law enforcement and other first responder personnel certified or licensed at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level to lead as instructors to non-EMT certified personnel. This program-of-instruction will provide an overview of Narcan (naloxone), Adult Learning Theory, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification, and certification of EMTs as Instructors. This program-of-instruction will review Narcan Administration and Airway Management, as well as provide the tools needed to teach personnel to carry and administer Narcan (noloxone) KIts.
