Course overview

While each of us enjoys the advantages of and the connivance of a maraud of chemicals designed to improve and make our lives easier or to allow us to perform our jobs more efficiently, many of these chemicals come with a price. Many require special handling and care in their use or they can cause us harm. The harm that they can cause can be as slight as a mild skin irritation or as serious as death. As a funeral director, you are constantly exposed to cleaners and solvents to chemicals used in the preparation of remains. Some of these chemicals while relatively harmless when used alone can become lethal when used in conjunction with another relatively harmless chemical. It is therefore imperative that you follow some very simple and basic guidelines for their use and storage. This course reviews those practices that you should follow for your own health and the health of those around you.
