Ethics is a set of rules that differentiates between personal or professional conduct that is right or wrong. It is the art of knowing the right thing to do, even in confusing circumstances. Personal rights are a subgroup of human rights. They refer to the minimum standards that sets how receivers of healthcare expect to be informed and treated. This course discusses personal rights and ethics that are a vital part of healthcare. It also discusses how to make ethical decisions in healthcare. Without the knowledge of ethics, healthcare workers would have a difficult time determining what is ethically right and wrong.
