Course overview

This section discusses the clinical treatment and diagnosis strategy for pain syndromes in greater detail. Dr. Kuo Hung Liao will describe the diagnosis and treatment protocols using acupuncture and herbs for neck pain disorders in this course. Pain is the body's alert system. When we experience pain, it is our body's way of communicating that something has gone wrong and needs to be addressed. Although we learned the Eight Principles of Diagnosis, Six Meridians Syndrome Differentiation, and QiXueJin Ye Diagnosis during the majority of our Chinese medical curriculum, it is frequently difficult to grasp intuitively in clinical practice, thus it frequently succumbs to the difficulty of formulating a plan theoretically. Dr. Kuo Hung Liao will use his experience and ideas to promote a more intuitive, physical, and physiological style of thinking in order to comprehend the nature of neck pain and explain the concepts underlying TCM treatment effectiveness.
