Course overview

Each year, approximately one percent of all babies born in the United States are diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD). This course discusses fetal cardiac development and circulation, how to perform a thorough cardiac examination, which hereditary diseases are commonly associated with specific congenital heart diseases, acyanotic and cyanotic cardiac lesions, and the treatment modalities utilized for these cardiac lesions.
