After completing this course, health professionals will be able to:
- Describe the “I-System,” the fundamental model behind Mind-Body Bridging, from a theory- and evidence-based perspective
- Articulate how the “I-System” can interfere with positive lifestyle and health-related behaviors and identify how the 6 general practice guidelines of Mind-Body Bridging can reverse that
- Practice and apply the 8 therapeutic “mapping” techniques and 4 simple “awareness” practices that comprise a Mind-Body Bridging Program to reduce stress, improved health-related behaviors (e.g., sleep) and enhance overall patient quality of life
- Design and clinically implement a 3-session Mind-Body Bridging Program, in both an individual and group format
Course overview
The An Effective New Individual and Group Model for Lifestyle Improvements and Wellness: Mind-Body Bridging CE course includes 5 contact hours that will provide an introduction to the fundamental principle of Mind-Body Bridging, an overview of the relevant literature and a discussion of its powerful experiential aspects and applications for healthcare providers. In addition, an outline for a 3-session Mind-Body Bridging protocol to promote health-related lifestyle change and wellness is provided for use in a variety of clinical settings in both individual and group formats.
