Myopia Management in the Millenium

Course overview

There is an increasing incidence and prevalence of myopia among kids. We will discuss the epidemiology of myopia, the theories behind myopia development and progression, and compare the incidence of myopia among the different cultures. Key research and studies, as well as target specific anatomic structures of the eye, will be reviewed. Treatment options, including bifocal lenses, undercorrection, rigid contact lenses, pharmacologic intervention, and optical intervention will also be discussed.
