Course overview

There is a possibility that complications will occur during blood transfusions. It is important that staff be aware of the nature of these possible complications, how to recognize them, and what to do if one occurs. Learning Outcomes: Recognize and react to signs/symptoms of a transfusion reaction. React appropriately to blood transfusion complications. Ensure that proper documentation is completed in all areas of blood administration.
