Course overview
This workshop will review the current state of immunohistochemical testing for estrogen receptor protein, progesterone receptor protein, and HER2 protein overexpression in breast cancer. Invasive, metastatic, and in situ cancer will be covered. The importance of pre-analytics and technical issues in IHC testing will be addressed. Proficiency testing and results from Oncotype DX(TM) testing will be used to discuss standardization and test validation.
