Special Stains: Success and Safety (OLC)

Course overview

In this session we will examine special stain procedures and factors involved assuring stain quality. We will discuss evaluation criteria and troubleshooting for some carbohydrate and connective tissue stains. We will review staining protocols for microorganisms and tissue pigments assess tips for optimization. This workshop will will also cover the proper handling and disposal of reagents used in special stains.
