Lichen sclerosis is a significantly misdiagnosed condition, and the way patients are treated when they have it can have a huge psychological impact. Sufferers will often have significant fertility challenges, as sexual intercourse will be painful and there is a strong link between the condition and reproductive immunology. This course covers what this condition actually is, what it looks like and how to diagnose it, the lived experience of those who have it, explains Western medical treatments, and how functional medicine, lifestyle changes and mind/body work can be helpful. The course then approaches lichen sclerosus from the perspective of reproductive immunology, examining how this perspective can be used to diagnose and treat using Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and herbs. The course includes detailed instructions on how to approach needling patients' genitals when they are suffering from lichen sclerosus, as well as a number of herbal prescriptions that can be tailored to the needs of the patients.
