Managing Neurological Monitoring Devices and Drains
Tracking # 20-903731
Course overview
Obtaining a thorough assessment on a patient with neurological trauma and injury can be difficult. The neurological assessment involves information that can largely be subjective. Some patients with neurological conditions may require surgical drains or monitors to treat or assess their condition. These devices can help the provider gain objective data in addition to the neurological assessment to guide patient care and treatment. The goal of this course is to increase the knowledge of the nurse monitoring a neurological patient who has one or more drains that contribute to the patient's neurological assessment, treatment, and overall health.
