This course guides learners through the general considerations and specific treatment techniques for three common heat modalities: ultrasound, paraffin, and diathermy. You will learn how these modalities create heat in the tissues, how to safely and effectively use these therapeutic heat modality treatments based on the patient's age and diagnosis, and how to accurately document your intervention and outcomes. Case studies will demonstrate intended use and highlight things to consider when using these modalities with older adults.
