Course overview

More than 20 million Americans have some form of peripheral neuropathy (PN). This condition affects the motor, sensory, and autonomic nerves and can have a significant impact on a person's daily function and quality of life. This module provides rehabilitation professionals with an overview of the symptoms of PN, objective assessments, and evidence-based treatment strategies to address symptoms, with a specific focus on diabetic PN. Strategies to best engage and empower your patients to self-manage their condition during therapy and after discharge will also be discussed.
