Course overview
This issue looks at how therapists around the country, and the world, are reimagining their work, using new strategies that are making psychotherapy more efficient and expedient. These pieces look at the ethical dimensions of working with clients in the midst of an affair, how couples therapy is conceptualized and executed abroad, what the latest research says about best practices for treating trauma, and a more relational way of doing EMDR, to name a few. Other pieces examine helping clients work through anger and resentment, relationships between mothers and their gay sons, and increasing relational connection in couples therapy.
