Tracking # 20-829746
Course overview
Individuals with more severe cases of COVID-19 have a high risk of developing acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). As a result, there is a significant increase in the number of patients with ARDS in the post-acute care setting. Respiratory therapists (RTs) play a key role in understanding the typical presentation of a patient in post-acute care and managing these patients recovery. This course provides guidelines for the RT regarding mechanical ventilation and current evidence regarding evaluation and treatment approaches for adult patients with ARDS associated with COVID-19.
