Course overview

Molar Incisor Hypomineralization or MIH is a tooth developmental condition that affects the enamel structure of permanent first molars and incisors. This condition is still poorly understood by many clinicians and researchers. Since this condition has a myriad of clinical implications ranging from hypersensitivity to quality of life impact, understanding of the scientific evidence regarding etiology, prevalence worldwide, relationship with pain and dental caries and clinical management is fundamental. The course will be then formatted to include the MIH clinical aspects and classification, the evidence regarding its etiology, its prevalence, its relationship with pain and dental caries and how is being managed and treated clinically.
