ADDICTIONS habits with negative consequences where people find rewards that make it difficult to change. Frustrating to have, frustrating to help people with. This workshop will equip EMDR clinicians with knowledge and skills to address addictive patterns directly utilizing the standard eight phase EMDR protocol. In addition, clinicians will identify methods for using specialized EMDR strategies to address motivation, defenses, and relapse. This is an advanced training. Presenter Bio: Jan Schaad, LCSW, has a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in social work. She is a certified EMDR therapist, consultant and trainer specializing in trauma and addictive disorders. Jan maintains a private practice in Wyoming, helping facilitate the healing of trauma and the change of mind/body habits to achieve peak performance. Jan mentors EMDR therapists in both learning and teaching EMDR, and provides Basic and Advanced Trainings in Trauma and EMDR therapy.
