Virtual live workshop: A trauma-informed recovery journey coaching model of dialectical, cognitive, and somatic-based interventions to move self and clients from surviving to thriving. Module 1 DIALECTICAL PRACTICES LEARN emotional awareness, mindful acceptance, mindful coping, and exposure-based skills for self-care and clients UNDERSTAND evidence-based treatment integrating components from acceptance & commitment therapy and dialectical behavior therapy in emotional regulation and reducing maladaptive reactions PRACTICE emotion awareness, mindful acceptance, mindful coping, and exposure-based breathing practices. Module 2 SOMATIC MIND-BODY PRACTICES LEARN how to facilitate somatic mind and /body practices as self-care and for clients UNDERSTAND body awareness and body reading, presence, perception, and sensations PRACTICE mind-body mindful movement interventions (restorative yoga stretch practices) Module 3: MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS PRACTICES TO CONNECT TO SELF AND OTHERS LEARN brain-based approach to meditation to calm and quiet the mind and soothe the soul for self-care and clients UNDERSTAND neuromeditation and how to rewire the brain through meditation interventions PRACTICE mind and /body movement, meditation in motion, yoga movements, and restorative stretches Module 4 SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING FACILITATION (S.E.L.F.) ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT PRACTICES LEARN social and emotional facilitation of self-awareness, self-inquiry, self-compassion, and& self-forgiveness for self-care and clients UNDERSTAND cognitive restructuring practices, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment interventions PRACTICE S.E.L.F. care, acceptance and commitment, and reflective practices Preparation for the Workshop: This interactive workshop includes mind-/body mindful movement (restorative yoga stretches) practices and the opportunity to practice facilitating interventions in breakout sessions. To participate in the practices included in this workshop, you will need: DEDICATED SPACE to practice the restorative mind-body movements COMFORTABLE CLOTHING to move freely OPTIONAL SUPPORTS such as an exercise/yoga mat or blanket, firm pillow, blanket to roll for knee/body support
