Learn moreCourse overview
Sexual harassment remains pervasive in paramedic workplaces even though sexual harassment has been unlawful since passing Title VII over 50 years ago. Some Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers and managers believe that because paramedic work is a more unique situation, the type of conduct that is and is not acceptable is somehow different. It is not! You might spend more time seeing and talking to your paramedic co-workers than you do your own spouse. The dress, people, and actual work may be less "stuffy" than in some work environments, but the rules regarding unlawful sexual harassment are the same. This course provides you with the information needed to spot, address, and investigate incidents of Sexual harassment in EMS. The problem is not solved simply with awareness. Take the information presented in this course and make meaningful changes to policy and EMS cultures.
