Course overview
The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with the care of persons living with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. This course engages the learner in considering behavior as the language of dementia, offers strategies for interpreting behavior as communication, and provides a problem-solving approach to addressing behavioral expressions of distress, including pain.
