Course overview
When a patient is harmed or dies from medical treatment, there is often unrecognized downstream psychological trauma to the healthcare professionals involved in the adverse event. This activity will examine what is known about peer support services in healing the healer, what resources are available for those wishing to start such a program at their institution, and what factors favor the success of such programs.
