Anesthesia Handoff Communications
Tracking # 20-843120
Course overview
Handoff communications in anesthesia care are prone to errors because of the frequency of transfer of patient care. The daily process of information exchange increases the chances of adverse events due to errors in communication. This activity will define the parameters important for safe anesthesia handoffs and provide a variety of checklists and mnemonics that can be implemented for effective handoff communications.
