Course overview

Nutrition assessment is the cornerstone of a comprehensive nutrition evaluation and the first step in the Nutrition Care Process. Without a comprehensive nutrition assessment, nutrition recommendations and treatment plans cannot be personalized for an individual. Registered dietitian nutritionists and dietetic technicians use specialized training to assess patients' nutrition and health status, and design individualized care and follow-up based on the assessment findings. This course will review evidence-based nutrition screening recommendations and help dietetics professionals develop a good foundation in nutrition assessment.
