Course overview

Tennessee Physical Therapy Ethics and Jurisprudence was designed to help therapy professionals with the ethical dilemmas they face in the workplace. The course is designed to promote a better understanding of ethics, morals and legal behavior in the hopes of facilitating a better decision making process for professionals in ethical situations. The course also includes the APTA Code of Ethics, the APTA Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant, the APTA Guide for Professional Conduct, and the APTA Guide for Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant. Lastly the course includes the Occupational and Physical Therapy Practice Act (Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, Chapter 13, Parts 1 and 3), the General Rules Governing the Practice of Physical Therapy (Official Compilation, Rules and Regulations, Chapter 1150-01), and the Board of Physical Therapy Policy Statements.
