Over 20% of vaginal births that require augmentation of labor are impacted by uterine dystocia and often require surgical intervention. This educational activity provides practitioners with a review of professional practice guidelines for the management of uterine dystocia and labor augmentation as outlined in the ACOG/SMFM Obstetric Care Consensus #1.
