This video-rich course reviews current, recommended assessment instruments used to screen patients/clients for suicidality. Moving from individual assessments, into family/community groups, and culminating in organizational approaches to treatment for suicide risk, this course explores evidence-based strategies coupled with best practices for preventing patient/client suicide. Using actual individual case profiles, statements from researchers, and positions of large behavioral health organizations and facilities, course participants can improve individual assessment using new techniques with clients at risk of suicide, and apply advanced prevention skills and strategies to support clients and their families in their communities.
