Surgical site infections (SSIs) are a frequent cause of morbidity and even mortality following surgical procedures. Current estimates are that 40% to 60% of these infections that are preventable. This educational activity will review the current SSI prevention guidelines and how to develop a bundled intervention to reduce surgical site infections in your organization.
