Program Objectives - Understand the difference between Pattern A and Pattern B LDL and their effects on the body - Understand the difference between sucrose, glucose, and fructose in regard to metabolism and health effects - Know the recommended daily sugar allowance - Understand current trends in consumer products in regard to added sugar - Be able to identify possible health ramifications of excessive sugar - Have an understanding of de novo lipogenesis and its relation to dietary carbohydrates, especially fructose
