But I signed up to be a counselor. This presentation will examine the mental health counselors role in addressing the social needs and social risks of their clients. From agency work to private practice there are increased needs for the people that we provide mental health care to. While the need was present prior to the pandemic COVID19 has magnified not only the need for more mental health services but for connection to all resources. The presenter will discuss social risks how to assess for social needs and what we can do about it.
